Between Employers and Workers
When a worker applies for a job, their application details (name, phone, email, experience, and availability) are shared with the employer who posted that job. This is the core function of our platform. By submitting an application, you consent to this sharing.
Job posting details (including the employer's contact email) are visible to registered workers on the platform.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Supabase stores data in data centres located in the United States. By using ShiftHarbour, you consent to your data being transferred to and stored in the United States.

- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Database access is restricted using Row Level Security policies
- API keys are restricted to minimum necessary permissions
- Regular security reviews during our pilot phase
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Job postings are retained until deleted by the employer or removed by ShiftHarbour. Applications are retained for 12 months after submission. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
6. Cookies & Tracking
ShiftHarbour uses minimal cookies and tracking technologies:
- Authentication cookies: Used to keep you signed in to your account. These are essential for the platform to function.
- Session storage: Used temporarily to remember your role selection and pending actions during a browsing session. This data is cleared when you close your browser.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics tools that track you across websites. We do not participate in any ad networks.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may prevent you from signing in to your account.
